Mission:
Kidderbrook Montessori School is committed to follow the teachings and principles of Dr. Maria Montessori. To provide a nurturing atmosphere that embraces diversity and allows for spirituality in the child. To create an environment that fosters to the child's needs and that stimulates natural curiosity at each stage of development.
To prepare for all aspects of life, intellectually, socially, physically and emotionally, so that the child becomes an independent, self-reliant and compassionate human being. To uphold the standards of the American Montessori Society and to maintain a joyous partnership with parents.
KMS is affiliated with CMS (Connecticut Montessori Schools) and is licensed by the State of Connecticut as a child care center for children from 3 to 9 years of age.
Objectives:
KMS is dedicated to the Montessori philosophy and the method of education through the senses. A child attending KMS will be exposed to an environment that should facilitate growth of inner discipline and encourage learning through a free choice and the organized use of prepared materials in an atmosphere of peace, joy, and order.
